Climate

The climate in Moldova is temperate continental, with hot long summers and short mild winters.

Moldova is called “the sunny land" for the near 240 sunny days per year. In May, the temperature is usually around +15° C. July is the warmest month, with an average temperature of +21.4° C; January is the coldest month, with a monthly average temperature of –3.5° C.

The four seasons of the year are clearly defined. Winter is mild but not always white. The temperature in January, although rare, may fall to -20° C. Spring weather can be unpredictable.

The fall is warm, with the weather getting chilly and rainy in November. Average temperatures around this time may be +3° C to +5° C.
